Why use an Industrial Water Softener?
Calcium and magnesium are hard scale forming minerals that build up on piping, heat exchangers, water heaters, boilers and any steam related equipment. This buildup results in costly repairs, increased energy consumption, plugged heat exchangers and boiler tubes. The service life of linens, clothing, appliances and fixtures is greatly reduced due to these "hard" minerals

For laundry and dishwashing, the use of a water softener will significantly reduce the amount of soaps and detergents, resulting in reduced operating expenses.

Reverse Osmosis Water System

dedurizare osmoza inversa  A reverse osmosis water system is a highly effective water treatment process for reducing up to 99% of dissolved mineral salts, organics, and other particles by forcing water under pressure through a semi-permeable membrane. The process is named “reverse osmosis” because it is the opposite of the natural osmotic process, where water from a solution with a low concentration of dissolved solids travels through a membrane seeking to dilute a higher concentration solution.

A reverse osmosis water system is induced by applying pressure with a pump to a solution with a high concentration of dissolved solids, causing water from the concentrated solution to pass through the membrane. This water is referred to as product water. Dissolved solids do not pass through the membrane; they are continually flushed to drain as waste. This flushing action also keeps the membrane surface from fouling or scaling.

Ultraviolet disinfection process is carried out by decomposing DNAs of viruses, bacteria and microorganisms by applying UV rays at 254 nm wavelength without adding any chemicals or oxidants in water. Generating short UV waves by using low pressure mercury lamp, the disinfection system eliminates bacteria, protozoa, virus, mold, fungi, algae and their eggs. In conclusion, water that is treated healthily from the microbiological aspect without disturbing the chemical and physical structure is obtained. Byproducts which are harmful for environmental and human health such as THM are not produced. Corrosion never occurs in lines and equipment which the water passes through.
In Ultraviolet (UV) Systems a stainless steel bed surrounds the lamp and water passing through this bed is bombarded by the UV rays. Operating principle of UV system relies on eliminating microorganisms by disturbing their DNA and RNA structures. In order to carry out UV disinfection fully, the water shall not be cloudy and colored. Therefore, 5 micron filter is recommended before uv system generally.
Ultraviolet Systems consist of a stainless steel housing (ray chamber), UV lamp, quartz sheath to protect the lamp and to distribute the rays homogenously and an electrical panel. Lamp life is 9000 hours, units have a transmission rate of 95%. LED indicator located on the electrical panel makes it possible to understand whether there is a malfunction in the system. Also, lamp life can be monitored from the meter on the panel easily. Germ elimination capacities of UV systems reduce in time and it is recommended to replace the lamp annually.
